Noisily is a brand new intimate music and arts festivalnestled in the rolling
Leicestershire countryside. Taking place deep within a woodland setting - less
than one hour from London’s Kings Cross - Noisily will be a fully immersive
environment where attendees are invited to truly let themselves go and ride the wave of unrestrained hedonism. It’s a place to forge friendships, discover new music and have a hand in writing the first chapter of the Noisily manifesto.

The lineup for the inaugural year is almost as impressive as the ancient trees that line the arena. Leeds based duo Spektre are an act that have been picking up plaudits from dance luminaries across the board such as Sven Vath, Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin no less. Their explosive live show is an unmissable sonic feast and fast becoming legendary. Also confirmed for the main stage is drum and bass man of the moment Spectrasoul, remixer du jour Ed Solo (Pendulum, Krafty Kutz, Deekline), vocal looping extraordinaire MC Xander, Far Too Loud and a whole host of cutting edge electronic talent with many more names to be announced.

Across two main stages and a smattering of pop-up forest venues, there will
be a carefully curated line up of some of the finest electronic music that
Britain and the world has to offer, brought together by leading UK
promotersGouranga and Wormfood. In between these musical delicacies an impressive programme of art and interactive performance awaits providing hours of entertainment. Welcome to a place where boredom is impossible and fun unavoidable.

In keeping with the beautiful site, structures will be sourced and
constructed out of local materials found in the forest thus enabling the
organisers to deliver a festival which fits into the landscape rather than sits
on it. Master carpenters and craftsmen are already busy sculpting woodland
furniture and Noisily’s very own Treehouse stage.

Noisily invites festivalgoers on a new journey of discovery in one of the
most visually stunning and creative celebrations of music and arts in the UK. Be a part of something special this summer on May 25th -27th.

Noisily Festival hosts a launch party in London on Friday 6th March at Relay
(Cable’s brand new sister venue). Click here for full details.

5 massive remixes for your free download! This week we're pulling out remixes from the absolute top of the musical A-list; Florence & the Machine, Friendly Fires, Scroobius Pip, Katie Melua and Skream! Click 'download' and enjoy!
Florence & The Machine - Shake it Out (Benny Benassi Mix)
Not only is this on of the hottest tracks of 2011 from one of the hottest acts on earth, it's been given the clubroom treatment by Italian electro-house God, Benny Benassi!

Katie Melua - The Flood (Jakwob Remix)
After rising to fame off the back of an Ellie Goulding remix, you'd be right to expect big things from Lincoln's own James Jacob and he delivers with this one; a subtle mature creeper for dubstep fans with a refined palate.

Friendly Fires - Blue Cassette (Tiga Remix)
Some of the remixers we're incuding today are bigger than the original artist! And here's no exception with Tiga delivering his brand of gritty acid-eque techno that I struggle to define with words. Give this a listen (maybe a few listens if you're not yet a Tiga true-blood) and all will become clear. This original track was the highlight of FF's 'Pala' album for me and so I hoped this remix wouldn't disappoint - it doesn't.

Scroobius Pip - The Struggle (Doctor P Remix)
It's no secret that we have a bit of a man crush on old Scroobius here at iknowasong.com, and as much as it pained us to hear that he's taking a hiatus from Dan le Sac we continue to support everything that he does. Even so, we are partial to a remix of his original works, especially where Circus Records' head honcho is involved. You may be well accustomed with Doctor P's filth, and if that's your poison, download now -->

Skream - Anticipate (Netsky Remix)
I'd go as far to say that these two artists were the hottest names in the dubstep and D 'n' B genres respectively. Ignoring the cliche, both of these artists continue to evade labelling, doing different things with every release yet maintaining a rare quality. This is jump up D 'n' B for you all, a fitting note on which to end this post on considering you should already be grinning from ear to ear having downloaded all of these tracks! Enjoy. 2011 was a good year for electro, you only have to click through our archives to hear it for yourself. That said, I'm sure 2012 can top it, with festival season just starting over here in Oz land, all the club heads have got reasons to be cheerful - and here's a few more; free electro /house downloads. Enjoy! Tree Boy xoxoxox

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Dream On

Possibly not the most appropriate post to start the year as TEED has just cancelled his Australian tour! That means festival-goers will miss the UK producer at Falls, Southbound and Field Day. But the good news is he's on a headline UK tour in February, plans to come back to Oz in late 2012 AND has produced this track;

Treasure Fingers - Take My Hand

A lovely bit of disco house here from the Atlanta producer Ashley Jones. Seriously, this guy has put out some massive releases but still seems very US-centric. That's despite him remixing the likes of Chromeo and Miike Snow and is getting front page coverage on 'Dj' magazine... If you're not into this guy in a big way yet, we'll be doing our best to change that.

Carl Cox - Nexus (Foamo Mix)

Carl Cox is nearly 50! how mad is that - but what a career - voted world's best DJ, heading two labels, all those seasons in Ibiza, shows on Radio 1 and not to mention a massive back-catalogue of tracks, one of which has received this sick remix from UK fidget house producer Foamo! This is what we want...

Chris Lake - Sundown (Lazy Rich Remix)

Scottish producer Chris Lake was there very near the beginning of my electro obsession with his 2006 track 'Changes'. The guy's gone on to do huge things, he's putting out remixes for the likes of Lady Gaga nowadays and runs the two labels 'rising stars' and 'rising trax'... Not a lot has changed since back then, I still love what he's putting out...

Bingo Players vs. Daft Punk - Rattlogic

A bit of fun to end things off, I actually really like this as far Daft Punk bootlegs go, it's gonna be a guilty listen this one! Laters.
