North Shore Pony Club ft. DTCAPRI - Quickdraw
"... 2013 is going to be the year of the Pony!"
OK... So it might be a bit soon to call it but we've been slamming this track on repeat for a good few months now! And as well as 'best track of 2012', it's the hands down winner for best videol!!
I first stumbled across this track reading a blog that I don't recall. I was meant to be paying attention at a family dinner. Within 5 minutes of hearing this track, I had the whole family crowded around a PC streaming this tune - and every single one of us loved it.
I've held off posting on this track for a while in the hope that some more info would surface on these guys; I really wanted to let you know what they had planned for 2013. I promise you, I Google'd the shit out of NSPC and all that I could find out was that they're an NZ band that occasionally plays house parties! And I say that without an ounce of disrespect, really, NSPC are cool as fuck, and they're not even trying. It makes me jealous.
And so, no further info on NSPC was forthcoming, until, we uploaded this post and then band member 'Matt Pony' himself got in contact with ikas.com! If you could have seen my face when I got that email; it was a 'Christmas has come early' face for sure. Here's a snippet of what Matt had to say;
"We've actually got a bunch of music coming out in the next couple of months. Have recorded a full length album but will be putting stuff up on youtube in the meantime... Should also getting some t-shirts made up in the next fortnight"...
That's right... You heard it here first; I'm going to be wearing nothing but NSPC merchandise in 2013!
So with a full length album in the pipeline, you can be sure that ikas.com will be keeping a very close eye on NSPC. We have no doubt that this track is just a sign of things to come!
